ok so im trying to rip a movie using the "Generic" setting on DVDFab. I was just wondering what the best "Device" to use is... I've been trying generic.avi.xvid.mp3,Two Pass, and the default bitrate (whatever it lands on when i put the disc in), with a 128 kb audio. when i open up the file to play it the sound is often low and i cant decide on a way to fix this. either its the setting on my windows sound configuration, the way it ripped the movie, or if i could use the slider on dvdfab to increase the volume. maybe im using the entirely wrong device to rip it. any suggestions would be thankful

i am having a similiar problem
Hi there, if file size is not an issue, then bump the filesize to 1.5gb or 2gb, you will see a definate improvement in picture quality. 128kps sound is not a good setting for converting DVD audio in a film, Id recommend setting the bitrate for the mp3 to 192 or 256, and also adjust the volume level to 150%, this will increase the volume for you.
Hope this helps.
