Cannot open RM files in VirtualDubMod in Windows Vista

I followed all the instructions on this site to open a RM or a RMVB file in VirtualDubMod. (I installed Real Alternative, AviSynth and I created the AVS file...) but when I open VirtualDubMod and then I open the AVS file, an error message of Windows Vista is shown: VirtualDubMod has stopped working.. Checking solutions to this problem. And it shut down. But when I tried on my old computer XP or 2000 computer, it worked. Only Vista doesn't work. But I cannot use VirtualDubMod in my old computer because the CPU is so slow. I can only use it on my new computer Vista.

Can you guys solve this problem??
