    Hi,

I've a short film that a friend shot and was encoded as a DVD. It plays with the wrong aspect ratio, 4:3 instead of 16:9. My friend wants it fixed but -for the moment- has no other copy of the film (the person who has it is away for several months on another film shoot) and he wants to send a working copy to some producers in the meantime.

I de-muxed the streams on the DVD and re-muxed them using IFOEdit, but the result was the same the re-muxed DVD still plays at 4:3.

Is there any way I can fix this. Advise and suggestions would be v. helpful.

    Many thanks.

Tried it with a software dvd player? Same problem?

    You could also try IfoAR2WS.

Yes, it plays in the wrong aspect ratio on everything. We've tried 3 DVD players and 4 software ones.

Not tried IFOAR2WS but will do right now... Thanks for the pointer.

It worked. At least on the software players.
Will burn a DVD and see about the hardware ones.

    Thanks.
