I just bought a Pioneer DVR-115D. It has firmware revision 1.13 installed. I would like to install the latest firmware (which I believe is 1.18). The last time I upgraded firmware there was DVRFlashX which had a GUI. The only thing I can find now is DVRFlash 2.5.1 which I have to use through the terminal. I opened up a Terminal window, but I just have no idea what the hell I'm doing as far as Terminal goes.

Is there a Mac GUI updater compatible with my drive?

If there isn't a Mac GUI updater, could someone please post instructions on updating with DVRFlash 2.5.1 and Terminal.

I thought I'd seen instructions posted before, but a search of this forum and a Google search turned up nothing relevant.

    Thanks.

Go to: http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/ibs/device_e/dev00001r_e.html#firmware1 You can get 1.18 there. I installed it on mine.

I already have 1.1.8 downloaded, but I don't know how to install it on a Mac. I believe I'm supposed to use DVRFlash, but I need instructions on it's use.

you probably have a windows only flasher as that's all pioneer supplies. try this one as the latest package has a mac version(and instructions) in the zip.
