    Hi,

    I plan to buy a Canon HF10 AVCHD Camcorder. I'm using Sony Vegas 7. As far as I know, Vegas can only import AVCHD files created by a Sony camcorder; the functionality with other brands is not guaranteed. Do you know, if Vegas works with the HF10? Is there a list with Vegas compatible AVCHD camcorders?

    No, which means you have to convert to a lossless format first. You'll need a lot of disk space.

    You should seriously consider the Canon HDV HV20/HV30 instead. Why wear the AVCHD hair shirt?
