I had downloaded an avi movie and wanted to convert it to a DVD format. I had used AVI2DVD to convert the AVI file to DVD files. Then using DVD Fab to burn it to a DVD. The reason it won't play in our DVD Player is because its a PAL type of DVD. Can anyone suggest how to convert the DVD to NTSC ?

Thread: DVD player won't play movie
you could try using the free version of convertxtodvd on the avi. just make sure to set up the output as ntsc in the options menu.
once it's encoded to pal dvd it isn't easy to change to ntsc, re-encoding the avi is a better way.--
