Howdy and a newbie to the forum. I hope i am posting this issue in the right forum. Just got a new Sony RDR-VX525 recorder a few days ago for dubbing VHS to DVD and that feature works great. The problem I have encountered is I cannot capture DV tapes with a Sony TRV-460 camcorder. I have the camcorder connected to the recorder DV in jack with a new firewire cable. I have gone thru all the procedures in the user manual for dubbing DV to DVD and when I click the "red" button to begin dubbing a dialog box pops up saying, Camcorder not recognized, Check the cable connection. I have tried several times using the procedures described in the manual for dubbing DV to DVD and each time I am ready to begin dubbing I get that error about camcorder not recognized. Just can't figure out why I keep getting this error. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
