  4. Run mediainfo on the file to see what codecs are being used

    I doubt the 39992 kbps is correct, but if that is true, your pc might have difficulty playing it.

  5. DIB = uncompressed video. The bitrate sounds about right for uncompressed YUY2: 320 * 240 * 30 * 2 * 8.

    The problem could be an overlay issue. Try opening with VirtualDub.
