  1. hi friend, from pavone italy sorry for my bad english.
    today i have buy a new blu ray disk player samsung model bd-p1400 for 256 € vat incl.
    i am very because the player not player my avchd on dvd-rw build with my sw authoring corel ulead dvdmovie factory 6 plus with hd pack.
    my avchd dvd-rw not work on my tv panasonic tx42px70 is displayed only the logo of player samsung in loop cycle.
    i have a tested with successfully my disk dvd-rw structure avchd in another player bdp-1400 in the store where i buy my player.

    i think the problem is a different release of firmware.
    i am waiting your information about it .

    The firmware is available on the Samsung website. If that doesn't solve the problem, you could simply exchange it.

  5. hi all friends i have flashed new firmware with release 080114.01_xef the old is 071026.01_xefmy player not work with my dvd-rw with structure avchd
    my player work great with a bd-re tdk
    i am waiting your comments

    Pavone ,qui Mel da New york.Ritorna indietro il samsung,il mio samsung uguale al tuo,funziona con tutti i dischi dvd-r dvd-rw dvd+r dvd+rw con il firmware 1.6 statunitense.....il firmware europeo e 1.5.........Al tuo posto porterei indietro il samsung che non funziona.........Avchd niente problemi con il mio.........buona fortuna ...........Ciao

    I have tested only bd-re (video mpeg2) and cd-rw (jpeg photo) all with wonderfull quality !!!

    Si,ho provato un po di tutto e il bdp 1400 non mi ha dato fastidi per niente.Io come ho detto prima lo porterei indietro,per un'altro......Ciao

    ciao mel15 sei davvero gentilissimo non so come ringraziarti.
    oggi ho creato un dvd-r avchd masterizzando un file .iso da questo link :

    e' un dvd di test molto utile e potente per verificare i settaggi del televisore hd.

    il dvd avchd ha funzionato subito senza nessun problema con una qualita' d'immagine ottima !!!!!
    il mio bdp 1400 ha funzionato benissimo !!!!
    ora devo capire perche' il mio dvd-r avchd che ho creato con il sw di authoring ulead corel dvd movie factory 6 plus non funziona su tutti i lettori bdp 1400 anche con il firmware aggiornato.

    anche tu utilizzi una telecamera in alta definizione e converti in avchd ???
    che sw utilizzi per i tuoi test ???
    che tipo di supporti hai masterizzato ???
    dvd-r dvd+r -rw +rw e di quali marche ???
    con quali settaggi di encoding ??

    Ciao Pavone essendo un ammiratore del defunto HDDVD ho dovuto pian piano accostarmi al bluray.Hdvd era piu facile come sistema.Anche io uso Factory plus 6,per masterizzare uso Nero 7 (nero burning rom).Per le marche di dvd-rw che uso(ne ho provate di tutti) il Fujifilm dvd-rw e il dvd+rw per me sono eccelenti in tutti rispetti.Tante volte ho trovato che masterizzando a una velocita minore i risultati sono migliori.Spero che questo ti aiuti un po.Ciao Mel

    Ciao Mel, sei l’unico che mi sta dando informazioni utilissime, e per questo non finiro’ di ringraziarti.
    Vorrei farti una serie di domande, non prenderle per un interrogatorio 

    1) anche tu hai una telecamera in alta definizione tipo hdv o avchd ??
    2) anche tu utilizzi il plugin hd pack per il dvd movie factory 6 plus ??
    3) quale versione di nero burning e nero vision stai utilizzando ??
    4) quali settaggi usi per fare l’encoding e l’authoring avchd ?? intendo bite rate struttura gop ecc ecc
    5) hai un masterizzatore di blu ray disk ??
    6) in caso affermativo vorrei sapere se hai testato dei bd-r sul bd-p 1400 ??
