We should not be forced to pay monthly lease fees on equipment I know you can buy. My concern is trying to find digital set top boxes/dvrs and converters that will work with Verizon FIOS Video ON Demand etc. Can anybody please point me to any resource links? I have done some research already and know you can buy your own equipment.

You can buy some STB's but they won't work with VOD. The VOD comes through your Actiontec router and that works in concert with the Verizon/Motorola boxes.
I have seen some boxes on eBay, but I am not sure those can be authorized. If you go to Verizon's Usenet servers, there is a FiOS newsgroup that is only visible to Verizon subscribers, fiber or copper.
Well that is that I suppose. can anybody give me any cool info on their DVR'S like ethernet and usb hdd capabilities?
