    i am told my ati radeon will not run both at the same time. can someone recommend a card that will.

    Ever card I have ever had with S-Video out, and we are talking several dozen, is able to display both at the same time.

    Now, setting up the software to do this, and getting it to do it by default on reboot every time, is another story. But I have never seen a card that couldn't do it, most especially an ATI Radeon card.

  3. Get the latest Vista drivers from ATI. Windows Vista probably only supplies basic drivers without s-video output.

    Nelson37 is right.

    You just have to make your S-video your secondary monitor.
    Works more than fine in XP, doesn´t lose configuration after reboot.

    Just open up your Display properties and there you go.
