Automatically split a video to 2 dvds

Hi,

I've recorded a video on my standalone dvd recorder (Pioneer DVR-555H-S). This video is about 5,2 GB.

When I try to do a hdd to dvd copy, the recorder automatically reencode the video while burning it on the disc.

Is there a way to automatically split the video on 2 discs without reencoding it ?

I see nothing on the user guide.

You should be able to put the long title in a Copy List, then get to the Edit screen (maybe 2nd page, arrow up/dn till you find it), then there should be a Divide command. You select where to Divide the title.
