I am working with Vista Media Center.
I had several codec problems with my syste,, most of it solved, but subtitles matters.

At the moment I can't view any subtitles with my movies.
I have .mkv file, on the same library with .srt file which contains the translation. I wasn't able to manage to display the subtitles on the movie.

I FFDshow installed, which I use for viewing the movie. The option to display the subtitles is checked, yet no subtitles.
I tried to install VobSub. with the same results.
What's more weird, is that I remember the in the past, when I load the movie file, there was a green arrow, as vobsub was loaded, not the green arrow doesn't show up.

Any inputs will be very welcomed.
    Amir.

Have you tried to manually load a sub in ffdshow? Does it work then?
Have you tried latest vsfilter (newer version of vobsub)?

I don't know how to do that...I don't see any option for that.
