Panasonic AG-1970

Hi Gents
Really bought myself a headache off of Ebay this time. I need to time the gears in a AG-1970. Thought I could figure it out without a manual, but no dice. I have a AG-1980 manual but it doesn't address gear timing. I would really appreciate any help.
