    Hi All,
just coming back from a trip where I've recorded more than 10 GB pf stuff
I would like to create one ( max 2) single DVD and I wonder if there is a simple (very simple, I am so dummy...) software which allows to creat it from a Sony Handycam ( the most complete and simplest)

a friend of mine, months ago showed me a very very nice DVD with animation, sort of cartoon with funny words on the photo but I don't remember the name of the program that he used
Since he is so ignorant in editing like me...........

thanks in advance for your help

  2. ConvertXtoDVD - it is the very simple. Your friend did not use it for sure - this stuff is by far very simple.

I'm assuming a DV camcorder. If so, you'll need a FireWire card or input on your PC, along with the FireWire cable. WinDV works well for transferring to your hard drive. With DV, one hour per DVD should give you the best quality, but you can get two hours on there in good quality with some care at encoding.

For simple, you could try ConvertXToDVD. If you need to do some editing, one of the 'package' programs with editor, encoder and authoring would work well. For cheap, VirtualDub or Windows Movie Maker for edits, output as DV to a encoder. FAVC is a great freeware program to do the DVD conversion.

Marlo, start with identifying the camcorder model and the format of the video. How do you know that it is 10 GB?
