    Hello! I have tried to play *.avi and *.mpeg movies in my LG rh188h but it looks like the DVD player does not recognize the DVD. I don't think the DVD is the problem as the player should read both DVD +RW and -RW... Need I do any update? Must I convert the movies into nay other format (which one)?

    I guess the recorder support avi divx/xvid?
    Have you checked so the avi files are in divx or xvid format? Identify with gspot.
    Maybe it just supports avi and mpg on cd media?
