I have captured some footage from my VHS player through my camcorder to my hard drive. I have 10 or so avi clips on my hard drive that are all 720x480. I want to put these files on a DVD and watch them on my TV. Should I resize the files in Virtualdub to 640x480 so they won't look squished on the TV, or should I leave the file sizes like they are?
    Thanks,
    Opti

DVD doesn't support 640x480. Encoding choices* are

    720x480
    704x480
    352x480
    352x240

For VHS leave as 720x480 or use 352x480 for less important material when encoding to MPeg2 for DVD.
For bit rates try 6Mb/s VBR for 720x480 or half that for 352x480.
