    Sorry noob,

guys I need help. I am using Nero Express 3 and when ever I try to burn an MP4 file into DVD video, I am getting an error that says "No compatible file found" . I am wondering how can I correct this.

    Your help will be appreciated.

Burn in data mode. You cannot make a compliant video DVD with MP4 files. The DVD standard only accepts MPEG1 and MPEG2 files.

If you are wanting to convert the mp4 to a compliant dvd that will play on most any player don't use nero to convert it. Use an app like favc or convertx to convert the file to dvd compliant video... or you can learn how to do it the manual way by encoding the video with hcenc, the audio with aften and then authoring with guifordvdauthor.
