Hello all,
I have an avi clip just over five minutes long. I'd like to add unicode subtitles, similar to the Ethiopic characters you find at:
http://www.amharicdictionary.com
I don't mind if the subtitles are 'burned in' to the video - it's a quick and dirty job I'm doing.
I tried Ulead VideoStudio 11, but pasting the characters gives gibberish, and I can't type in it using Tavultesoft Keyman, my method of entry.
Any suggestions for an easy way to add such subtitles?
Thanks.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

You can use VSFilter + VirtualDub to get permanent subtitles,
or MaestroSBT to produce DVD-compliant subtitle pics from .SSA files.
Search this forum with some more attention and you will find
more details about non-ASCII subtitles.
P.S.: I'd like to say a big fat <ROT-13>SHPX BSS NAQ QVR!</ROT-13>
to all webdesigners who like to believe their pseudo~UTF-8/Unicode HTML files
are 100%~OK only because the non~W3C-compliant wannabe browser
is able to display them correctly. -
Thanks for the reply.
But I need to make .ssa files, and I've tried a couple of tools that claim to work with unicode, but I've been unable to get them to work with the characters I am using.
