  1. What encoders besides MainEncoder and TMPGenc are compatible with Vista 64bit? I tried CCE and it will not run. The Main and Tmpgenc both work but I was wondering if there was a better encoder that would work with this version of windows. The main encoder works quickly and takes advantage of all 4 cores.

A MPEG-2 encoder? Not any I am aware of that can use 4 cores and a 64 bit OS natively, but Canopus ProCoder can use multiple cores and maybe HC can. Most MPEG-2 encoders available are listed here: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/secti...coders-mpg-dvd

But others may have some ideas.

You can run a cople of sessions TMPGEnc and render in parallel. I use to different disk drives for this.
