I installed Linux Mint on a spare rig today, and updated the repository list, used Synaptic to add GTKpod, ffmpeg, and subversion, upgraded the system and added Winff. Everything worked fine.
The ffmpeg home download page at http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/download.html has a line:
svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg
I'm hot to upgrade because there is a new ffmpeg version: (February 7, 2008) We have added Ogg and AVM2 (Flash 9) SWF muxers, TechnoTrend PVA and Linux Media Labs MPEG-4 (LMLM4) demuxers, PC Paintbrush PCX and Sun Rasterfile decoders.
I'd like to upgrade ffmpeg, but I suspect that Winff will generate older tags such as h264 instead of libx264 and that will confuse ffmpeg. What to do?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!
