So this is my 2847583th time trying to encode a movie from avi to dvd format. I've only made it through the whole process one or two times with the Video_TS folder. Usually I can't even get the log to open before ffmpegx suddenly quits or has to be forced to quit, but I've got it now. Any suggestions as to what's happening?

Possibly your Mac needs some maintenance (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app), as ffmpegX is quite stable for most people.

The log you posted is only partial, which makes it impossible to see if there are any clues to errors in the first part. However, I agree that "could not create save file" isn't very descriptive by the developers on the reasons why it couldn't do what it needed to do.
