    I cannot play recorded discs on my desktop but this unit will play them on my laptop. On the laptop it only plays the first recorded subject and then stops. For instance I recorded 4 episodes of a TV show and only the first show will play on the laptop. When playing back on the recorder I can select or play any episode. I guess what I am trying to say is, the 4 titles are listed on the recorder playback but just a file name on the laptop. Do I need to make a playlist ? I'm new to this. bmck

    Are you making a standard dvd-video and finalizing the disc? or are you burning vr mode or what it's called?
