  1. I used Avidemux to convert VobSub (IDX + SUB) to SRT. I got problems with it. First of all, the file coding was incorect. I have to changed it to ANSI and after that use TimeAdjuster to fix it to readable state. Second problem was that subtitle lines weren't displayed long enough. There was no this problem in original VobSub. What went wrong?

  3. Did you want to convert IDX/SUB => SRT?

    I'm not sure what programs avidemux uses to do this, but subtitle workshop might be able to do a better job

    I thought subtitleworkshop doesn't work with any idx/sub. I think subtitlecreator and subresync can convert to srt, but it takes forever to key in all the letters, not sure if theres a more efficient way.

    Or subrip, but you have to key in all letters once. Or maybe dvdsubedit, it does OCR automatic but I have just tried it to convert from a dvd and not sub/idx.
