Hi, yes I am new to this forum and yes, I need some assistance, if possible. I have an AVI movie file I wish to burn. I use DivX for burning these types of files. However, when I played the file in DivX there was no sound. So I decided to try it in Windows Media Player and there was the sound, playing perfectly. What would make it disappear in DivX and be there in Windows Media Player? And since I cannot burn a DVD with Windows Media Player, is there someway to get the sound back so I can use DivX to burn it with? Thanks in advance for any help.

I assume you mean the Divx player ?

Start with g-spot or media info to find out what sort of audio your file has.

Secondly, don't burn with the Divx Player. Use Imgburn instead.
