    Hello,
I am a bit amateur when it comes to video editing and I have been asked to edit a video for a friend. The clips I have (that are supposed to be HD?) open in quicktime which tells me the video is : DVCPRO50 720x480 (853 x 480) millions. Data Rate 57.55mbits/s Actual size 853 x 480.

I have always worked in 720x480 DV so this is new to me and I want to know which Final Cut Pro sequence preference to use while editing. There are a couple presets in Final cut 4.5

    Those are:
    DV50 NTSC 48khz
    DV50 NTSC 48 Khz Anamorphic

when I set it to 720x480 and select anamorphic it seems to look fine in final cut but when I export using the same preset it ends up being 720x480 and squished. The final output of these are for the web. So I need the files to not look squished. Is there something I should be playing with within the preset to change all of this?

I am attaching a view of the options I have once in the preset.

I am attaching a view of my problem when I export. The file that was given to me which is set to DVCPRO50 720x480 (853 x 480) is on the left. The file on the right is what it looks like after I export using the DVCPRO50 720x480 16:9 preset.
