    Hi all.

I have a Magnasonic DVD Player, Model DVD802-2 A. I've had it for a couple of years and it has worked fine but a few weeks back, when I loaded a DVD, it would not play the sound. I've tried it on multiple tvs and switched the component cables and nothing seems to work. I've checked the options in the DVD menu but I haven't found anything that I suspect would be the problem.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Audio does not use the component cables. You need to have separate cables for the audio, either RCA cables (red/white) or use digital outputs (optical or coaxial). Ensure the audio cables are correctly connected and/or try replacing them. The player may also have an audio output option in the audio setup, it should correspond to the type of output you are using.
