My HP DVD Writer 840x Wont Burn !?

I have used many different programs but this was the error i got with Imgburn

I/o Error!

I tried to run it on safe mode and it was fine, but once done and ready to start burning an error came up ... here's everything

I hv a HP DVD Writer 840x, when i got it it was working fine, but after a couple of Operating systems installs it stoped working.... thx

The imgburn log shows you are trying to burn a CD-R not a DVD

...... duh duh duh. .. ok i got tht ,
but when i use nero or other programs to burn isos on a dvd it goes around half way and i get an error, ill try to burn one so i can show the error to u , ....


and thx, i didnt realize it was a cd...lol


EDIT:

OMG, WHAT some how its fixed, im not getting errors anymore... i've had that problem for about 2 months now and it fixes its self? ... im confuced but thankfull .....

Looks like the problem, and avoid burning ISOs you have not created.
