I want to demux a QT movie but can't seem to find anyhting that will do it, apart from Mac apps.
Is it possible to do it on a Windows PC.
Thanks.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Thanks Baldrick but just tried but after loading the qt file the Demux options on the File menu are all greyed out/disabled.
Any other ideas?
Thanks. -
This works for the .mov apple movie trailers, but it's a roundabout way that just copies the h264 video and aac audio streams and repackages into an mkv container to extract them.
1) Open your .mov in avidemux, set video & audio sidebar to "copy", set container to mkv
2) Save but make sure you enter the location and extension (e.g. filename.mkv)
3) Open your new mkv with mkvextractgui
4) Extract your streams
I'm not sure why you would want the separate streams? Avidemux can encode, edit QT .mov files natively

W/O Streamclip (or similar), you'll neve be able to do it w/ just QT (free). W/ QTPro, it's as easy as pie...
Just open file, and [delete] tracks and then [save as] (self-contained), or if you want them to be different filetypes than MOV, [Export].
Do it all the time...

Thanks Cornucopia. Works perfect.
I did'nt realise at the start, you have to show the movie properties in the Window menu of QT Player.
Thanks for the help.
I know It's a bit late but happy new year.
