    was wondering if there was a standalone divx player that can play the hrhdtv & 720 divx downloads

    http://www.z500series.com/specs.php can play files up to 720p (assuming them meet any other applicable restrictions), as well as a wide range of other formats not supported by most players. It's not cheap, but then it is also a wireless media extender as well as a DVD player.
