EasyCap DC60 help!

I can't seem to get it to work. According to the instructions, all I have to do is install the drivers and then plug it in. But when I plug it in, it says "New device detected" and demands to install additional drivers. So I let it, but there's an error message. Meanwhile, with this incomplete installation process, if I let the error message slide, Virtualdub can't detect a video source.

i had the no sound issue and the drivers never installed properly.
i installed the k-lite codec and amazingly it sorted things out.
sound input needs to be set to usb in ulead not usbheadphone or mic.
sound quality in windows movie maker and power producer are
crappy but the ulead sounds a lot better. go figure.
quite a bargain for $9!
