Im trying to burn my Heroes AVI files on to DVD-RW so that I can watch on my Samsung HT-Q20 Divx DVD player linked to my 32" tv.

I would ideally like the video to fit to the screen as when watched on the PC it is a bit small.

Here is the details of the file :

    Video
    Frame Width : 624
    Frame Height: 352
    Data Rate : 107kbps
    Total Bitrate : 235kbps
    Frame rate : 23fps

    Audio
    Bit rate : 128kbps

Basically I need a program to convert (not sure if I even need to convert), resize and burn to DVD-RW. I have manged to do this once but was unsuccessful to get any sound. Im using Phillips DVD-RW 4.7GB 1-2x speed (I think these are too slow) and Verbatim DVD-RW 4.7GB 4x speed (which i think are ok)

What are the best program to use?

Let me know if you need any more details.

Thank you for your help in advance.

In what way doesn't it play back to your liking on your TV? 624x352 is darn close to 16:9 (which I suppose your TV is too) and as your player plays divx, you'd just burn the AVI as is as data to a CD-R or DVD-R and it sjould play back full screen.

    Thanks for reply.

The main problem is sound, when i did get it to work there was no sound.

If I burn as data, will the sound work and what program should i use? Nero?

Ive seen some posts about interleaving the sound? Not sure what to do.

Burn as data using anything. Even Nero can't botch that.
If your source file is AVI, it's DivX or XviD video, MP3 or AC3 audio and not stuff like GMC and QPEL, you should be fine. Just burn it to a disk and try! Not harder than that.
