    hey..semi-newbie here..

I am trying to compress an mpg file to make it just a wee bit smaller so it wil fit on a single layer dvd (those DL's are expensive!)

what is the best format (with the best codec) that will give me the least quality loss and my audio wont go out of sync??

    I am currenty using Super.

My file just barely goes over the 4.7GB limit, so I dont need a lot of compression.

    any suggestions would be great...thanks!

Perhaps a bit more info will get you some good suggestions.
Is your desired end result a data disc with and .mpg on it or are you trying to create a DVD that will play on a standard DVD player?
