We've had this player for a few months, and lately it constantly pauses while playing commercial DVD's for no obvious reason. It's not dirt/smudges on the DVD, it happens with brand new fresh-out-of-the-box discs. The pausing happens for 2-5 seconds each time, and the pauses are between 10-45 seconds apart. Very annoying and frustrating. Is this something that could possibly have a fix, or do I just send it back? Anyone else ever run across this?
ETA: Slight correction; it's not really pausing as such. It actually "loses" a bit of the film during each pause. Now, if it pauses for 5 seconds, I don't think it's losing 5 seconds' worth of film, but maybe 2-3. And it also seems to go away the longer the DVD player is on or running (like after the first hour or so of the movie). Some sort of buffer fubar?
