Someone told me those felt pens deteriorate the DD or CD disk. Is that true? I had mine over 3 years and they play fine. I noticed there are specialty CD markers for sale though.

sharpie's seem to be fine. it was certain types of other markers on unprotected cd tops that could eat away the reflective layer. i've got some marked with sharpies from 10 years ago with no problems. dvdr has a plastic layer under and over the dye so nothing should harm it.
