  1. hey whats the difference between aac and ac3? This product can play ac3 but aac isnt listed

    AC3 is Dolby Digital. Usually it means 6 channel (also called 5.1) audio, although technically AC3 can refer to fewer channels.

    AAC has nothing at all to do with Dolby or Dolby products and is another way to compress audio. AAC playback support is poor right now for media streaming devices, so I'm not surprised at all that this product doesn't support AAC. Almost nothing does. Few streamers support MKV containers either.
