I've got component cables connect from this unit to a Sharp 64 series LCD. I'm trying to set the HDMI Video Setup on the dvd, but it won't let me have access to it...it's grayed out. Tried to press "HD Upscale" on the unit and it gave me some access error. Do I have to have HDMI cables connected in order to even get at this option to work?!?

    Thanks.

As noted in your other post, upconversion should only work over HDMI.

Yep, it's not written anywhere, but the HDMI settings are not available unless there are HDMI cables connected. Not a big difference in viewing, but they're connected nontheless.
