    I live in Irvine and there are two digital public stations that I can record using Hauppauge (MPEG2). However, using avi.net I manage to easily convert the regular digital channel but don't have any luck converting the HDTV channel! This conversion is to make the huge files managable for my resonnal PVR (Creative Zen). Would anyone have a suggestion for a freeware that can take care of this?

    Also, with HDTV transport streams, you may need to convert the file to regular MPG via an app like ProjectX or MpegStreamClip (with the Quicktime Alternative 1.81 codecs)
