miniDV to hard drive to miniDV while preserving time and date?

I have miniDV "tape A" with a video at the beginning and lots of recording room left at the end (more than 30 minutes).
I have miniDV "tape B" with some video that can fit at the end of "tape A"
I want to transfer the video from "tape B" to my hard drive and then from my hard drive to "tape A". How can I do this while preserving the time and date?

Note: I use Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.

The time and date will be preserved - you don't need to do anything. Only the timecode will be changed.

(This works with every camcorder I have tried - there is a possibility that it might not work with yours. New time/date is only created when recording through the camera section).
