  1. Hi, i used MTR 2.6.6.
i made an main title only extraction.
now i have only 1 vob-file, the ifo files etc. are missing
how can create the ifo-files afterwards?
i burn the dvd with toast 7.0.2. but the program don't want to burn the video_ts file without the missing ifo-files.

Those problems tend to go away using the newer and more
powerful MTR version 3 (currently in beta 14i). It is donationware.
Go to ripdifferent.com and join the forums. Once a member, look
at the MTR forums and find out how to donate. After your donation
has been received, geezerbutts will e-mail you the app. One
donation is all you need to get as many updates as you want.

Thank you - i'll donate in the next days. But: Your answer doesn't help to me to fix my problem with the ifo-files. What can I do with the vob-files without creating ifo-files afterwards?

Is there any tool like "ifoedit" for PC, that I could use with my mac?

ffmpegX has an author tool (based on CLI dvdauthor) that takes .mpg for input and outputs a VIDEO_TS folder, including .ifo files.
Rename your .vob to .mpg and process it.

Don't use "Title only extraction" if you need the ifo files. Use "Full disc extraction" or "Main feature extraction".

You can also generate the necessary IFO and BUP files in Toast by setting it for Video and selecting "DVD video." Drag the first VOB of the title (presumably VTS_01.1_VOB) into the Toast window. Set menu style, the wording you want on teh menu and the keyframe you want to show. (If you want more than one title on the disk, repeat these steps for each one.) Then set Toast to save as a disk image. It will compile a complete VIDEO_TS folder that you can burn, and will include all the VOBs that are meant to follow the one you put in the window.

To make it run quickly, go to the options on the lower left of Toast 7 and select custom encoding and set for "re-encode never" That way Toast will just re-mux and won't try to encode your already-good files. It should do this in just a minute or two plus the time it takes to write the disc image.
