Wal-Mart poo pooed this rumor months back. It looks like the rumors were true. Don't know how it compares to other offerings, but it's an entry level machine.

They really messed up with this. This player was announced months ago before the $99 Toshiba player. Now it just looks like an overpriced generic player.
