For my edits I have imputs from 3 sources:
1.NTSC VHS taes of camcorder footage and TV prog.
    2.NTSC mini DV
    3. PAL mini DV
I need to begin edit and then burn to DVD's the outcome - In Pal and/or NTSC .

How about the workflow ? what are your thoughts re Copies of the raw and the final ???
in what format how many copies and to what do I save the raw and the final outcome:
    HD , mini DV and/Or DVD's ???

What else/ more do I want or need in softs for authoring , converting PAL = NTSC and burning ???

here's my typical cam to dvd

    1) miniDV cam transfer over firewire with winDV to DVavi on comp.

2)import DVavi into vegas/edit/export dvd spec mpv and ac-3 audio

3)import vegas produced files into DVDlab - menu - export folders for burning

4)use imgburn to burn folders to dvdr

Many ways to skin this cat.

You are spending on good hardware now.

Premiere Elements is a start. Master that then come back for advice on what next based on that experience.

Please help ! I may have serched too much... and getting confused with the softs that I may
need for the editing. I will be working with PAL and NTSC and May need to change the
    edited versions back and forth.
I am concern with quality but also want to keep the process simple !

I have seen here : " use AviSynth or VirtualDubMod to do the NTSC -> PAL conversion and then frameserve the result into TMPGEnc plus to do the actual encoding " and re the Procoder.... Its all too advance for me....
Do I need all these staff ??? Is there an easy solution without loosing too much quality ???

What do you think is the best mathod for me to use and
produce PAL OR NTSC DVD and mini DV's, regardless of
the format of the raw footage [I understand mixing may be a problem].
Please explain all the steps needed...

    Thank you so
