Samsung SH203B/BEBN & Lightscribe prob

I have just installed one of these units. All was fine until I tried my first go at Lightscribe. I got the drive OEM so I downloaded LSS from Lightscribe and had a go. I keeps on telling me that I do not have a lightscribe device installed! I am aware that this model comes with or without LS. Is there anyway of telling which one I have? The model number in this title is from the case label.

Both Overclockers and Ebuyer are advertising the drive as lightscribe enabled, (SH-S203B/BEBN).

yup, aedipuss is correct about the SAMSUNG S203B not a lightscribe drive. only the SAMSUNG S203N has lightscribe. I own 2 SAMSUNG S203B drives and they are not lightscribe capable.

Seems to a definate there. Led up the garden path by these two. Still, I needed a new burner for the the new rig. Better look at another LS one. Any recommendations?

Just get the SAMSUNG S203N or a LG-H62L. I have both of those drives and they both work well. Although I do favor the SAMSUNG drives.
