Hello i am trying to obtain rip specs from a vidoe ts. folder.

i stripped using mac the ripper - i now have a folder full of vobs etc

i need to get as much info as possible before i upload on the traker.

i usually get the rip specs with a vlc player - from avi files, but it gives next to nothing for a ts folder.

should i re strip using a different program - or use some other program to get the specs? it doesnt even tell me the frame rate.

    thanks for your help.

You need to demux the VOB to MPeg2. I'm not sure how you do that on a Mac.

ffmpegX (with mplayer) can give you a quick summary with details on a VIDEO_TS folder. (Example)

Just as a gentle warning, however, note that the analysis does get fooled from time to time. If the movie has elements with two different frame rates (for example, intro or advert material at TV framerates, followed by the rest of the movie in film framerates), it may tell you that the movie is, say, 29.97fps when it is actually 23.976fps. In my experience, if it says that it is film framerate, that is a reliable determination. However, if it says 29.97fps, there can be room for doubt.
