I am using DVD Styler to create a simple DVD, but the final source looks to be interlaced. Maybe the term is not correct, but i have a lot of horizontal lines going though my video. Can someone help me out?
Here's the GSpot screenshot of my source files

Yes, your source is interlaced. It should be burned to DVD as interlaced. If done properly you won't see any interlace comb artifacts when you watch on TV.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the authoring. It would depend on the encoding, more specifically if you did an interlaced resize incorrectly.
I'd suggest burning it to disc and testing it in your standalone. If you have any problems, then maybe a description of the source video and how you did the MPEG-2 encoding, along with a small sample of the output, would help.
