    Hello Folks, I am new to the forums, but I'm optimistic about my chances of getting an answer after doing some searches - there was actually TOO much information for the broad searches I was running! *laughs* This is a very robust forum.

    Later this week I want to install and mount a 52" Bravia LCD Widescreen TV. Over 92lbs.! (non-XBR model)

    My main obstacle is that my cable run is going to be under the floor, totaling 25 feet. I know 25' is relatively short, but I think it's long enough to warrant some high-quality cables. Cables marked for in-wall installation would be affirmative. Line noise & signal loss, I want to minimize as much as is electronically possible. The clarity of display on this monitor is ultra-important. I'll purchase a repeater if necessary.

    25' VGA
    25' DVI -> HDMI

    Is there a company that comes highly reccomended for long cable runs? What is my best bet in this scenario? Thanks in advance! Please let me know if I can provide any other information.

    Ensure you test the hardware using the new cables before installation. Although it will likely work, the DVI spec lists a maximum lenght of 5M (16ft).

    Nothing worse than wasting an hour or two running cables only to find out they don't work.

    I run 30 feet of VGA cable to my monitor with no problems, though DVI may be a little trickier. I suspect the shielding, crosstalk and reflections may be problems for long runs. With good quality cable, I would still give it a try. I'd agree about monoprice for good value cables.

    Been supplying equipment to major corporations forever. Not the cheapest but their stuff has always worked. Good tech support to back you up.
    If you tell them what you want to do, they will tell you if it will work and what you need to make it work.

    Will do custom cable lengths.
