Anyone know good places to rent a DVD recorder?
I have ~20 VHS I'd like to convert and I just need access to a DVD recorder for like an hour.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Maybe I'm stupid, or don't understand....
20 VHS tapes at "regular" setting is 2 hours long...
20 X 2 =40
A 1 hour rental, I don't think will do it...
Am I missing something here???? -
If you needed to rent one, you could try a camera store. Some rent projectors, camcorders and maybe DVD recorders, but it's probably a long shot.
Or you could just buy a cheap one, if you had a friend that wanted one permanently, them sell it to him for half-price. -
Thanks for the help so far and I'll have to try that. if anyone knows more, feel free to tell me
BTW, they are much shorter family videos, some with less than 5 minutes of desired footage. It's a real waste of space :X -
Visit circuit city & get an open box one, return it when done. No charge. At farwallet.com in hot deals forum are some recorders for $49.

Or pay someone to do it for you it won't be expensive. Get a reliable company.

For a little more than the price of a rental (I'm guessing) you could buy a DVD recorder at Walmart for $49. It also has a tuner so you can use it as a VCR / timeshifter when you are done transferring your tapes. I splurged for the $98 one.
