    Do I need any special hardware for connecting a HDV to my mac for editing in Final Cut?

    HDV camcorders use the Firewire port. The FCP version needs to support HDV capture.

    Well I am looking to purchase:
    The new 2.8 imac
    Final Cut Studio 2
    and a Cannon XH A1 HDV

    is there anything else I will need?
