Hello, I have a dvd (concert) with terrible audio on it and my plan is to edit the audio in, for instance audacity, lower the bass and etc. I have already extracted the video from the DVD using Vob2Mpeg. The next step should be to demux the audio from the mpeg file but I just can't figure it out. I suppose I should add the mpeg file to Virtualdub Mod? And then what?
1. Could someone help out from where I add the file to virtualdub mod, please?
2. I use dvdLab pro but how do I work it out later on when it's time to re-author the dvd, I mean, of course I will add the mpeg and then the re-authored audio file, but will the old bad audio still be there in the background or can I author it with the new audio only?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but this is exactly what I am trying to do as well - editing a live concert DVD with terrible camera mike audio. Thanks for telling me the tools to use to start this process.
OK, so I'm going to extract the audio using the tools described here and edit it using some software like Wavelab. I have a question regarding the next step. After I'm done, what tools would I use to mux it back into a VOB and a DVD? Thanks. -
The easiest way is to rip the footage as one giant lump of video(with something like DVDDecrypter - file splitting NONE)...and at the same time demuxing the audio from the video.
Convert the audio to a workable format, edit/enhance it, re-author the DVD. -
Thanks Hech54. DvdDecrypter sounds great but how do I demux using it? I can't seem to figure that out.
Regarding the reauthoring, is there no simple way to put the DVD back together the same original way without re-authoring/recreating the menu's etc.? -
