    Hi guys, sorry didnt know exactly where to post this but im a n00b anyways and my question is...well im trying to play a video on my computer, its a video i downloaded (torrent) and when i play it the sound is there but i have no picture. I have windows vista and am using windows media player. I just got the standard codec pack whatever comes with the computer i guess as i just purchased it. maybe you guys can recommend a good codec pack?

    You likely missing the needed codec. Don't use a codec pack.

    Open the file in Gspot, it will tell you which codec(s) are needed to play the file. Then download and install the needed codec.
